Inspiration & Origin Story
Epione’s Apothecary was born from a practitioner’s desire to empower self-care.
Over a decade ago, while working as a massage and movement therapist, I began seeking ways to help my clients care for their bodies beyond the treatment room. My goal has always been to see clients less often — not because they need less care, but because they are better equipped to care for themselves, prevent injury, and support long-term health and wellbeing.
When I could not find topical products that aligned with my standards for effectiveness, skin health, ethical sourcing, and environmental responsibility, I began creating my own. The earliest of these formulations became Aegean Ice Balm, Eos’ Ginger Muscle Rub, and Epione’s Radiant Renewal.
Philosophy of the Body & Skin
The skin is one of the body’s primary protective systems and a vital point of interaction between our internal and external worlds. What we apply to it is absorbed, integrated, and can influence the body as a whole.
With this understanding, Epione’s Apothecary products are formulated with ingredients chosen not only for their immediate sensory effects, but for their broader impact on the body, honoring the skin’s semi-permeable and systemic nature.
